Pilgrimage

A Khajiit with shaggy fur brings a letter, nails it to Sheala
Sarethi house, and leaves.

Dear Seyda Neeners. As I promised I am sending you a letter from my second Pilgrimage, I am happy that my journey was more interesting than I expected. Also, the Azura priestess is caring about my house, and she should sell you standard healing and cure potions.

My first stop on pilgrimage was Fields of Kumuu – beauty of this place filled my heart with joy. I also decided that this is a good place to try hunting for pearls. I am not a good swimmer, though, I had not many chances to swim at Ald Ruhn, but I was pleased to have a company of another swimmer, a male Khajiit named ja’Sindul. This young beastman, also was trying to pearl hunt, our struggles with it became our bonding theme. He told me, je just overcame his fear of water recently – after nearly drowning in Puzzle Canal.

He and his friend are competing, who can in this pilgrimage face more fears, and his friend – who was watching us from the shore, joined us. This friend of his, Bran Selendis, was a heavily tattoed male Dunmer with two earrings in his left ear. They were heading for Ghostgate. It was my second stop – and their last.

„One must learn to float, to emulate Vivec“, said to me the Khajiit, but Bran…. "Tell her what challenge you have imposed for yourself."
„Poetry“. He looked almost scared, which I not expected from him. What I want is to marry another Redoran. Her family is against it – unless I join Buyoant Armigers“.
I nodded.
„Its not easy to join. I am fast, I am good with a bow, and a sword, and a word. They told me, unless a write sufficient poetry, that I cannot join.
Ja Sindul snickered „he would rather fight Ruddy man one more time, than to write poetry. Its like „Hello I am Bran
from house Redoran“
and he quits. If he sees a blank paper, his mind goes also blank, despite he can get better prices at Hlaalu merchants than me.

„Wait. You have fought the Ruddy man?“ „I want to hear something more of it“. I felt surprised, that something that comes natural to me, like writing poetry is complicated for someone who fought Ruddy man. I had no guts to confront that creature, and I did Ghostgate part of my pilgrimage invisible, so I felt intriqued to hear how someone did it.
„Is it okay if I také some notes“? I always carry a paper with me, just if I find some good recipe or something“

„Its easy sera, and take notes if you wish“.

He started

"Í am am good swimmer, despite being Redoran

I trained here, at lake Amaya to hunt slaughterfish

With my blade in one hand I swim and the creature goes squish.

Then I moved to Ashland shores, hunted for dreugh to train for Ruddy man

Stealth is no use in the water

Magic does not work. So I have to train longer

I eat the dreugh wax, it makes me stronger

That its how I prepared for the slaughter.

The day has come I entered the cave

Swam to the grotto with blade in my hand

I cut him faster and stronger that he can withstand

My pilgrimage done, in Ruddyman grave.“

„Wait“
„That was… pretty awesome for a mer who cannot write poetry“.
„Today is your lucky day, Bran Selendis. Here is a paper, you might work with more with the rhytm, but I am sure you would be accepted into Buyoant Armigers in no time“

I am sending this story to you, dear Seyda Neeners. It was kinda funny event on pilgrimage which I expected to be mostly… uneventfull.
